Native American Style Flute "Autumn Colors" - Mid F
Wood: Alaskan Yellow Cedar accented with mohogany endcap and mouthpiece
Key: Mid F
This one of a kind beautiful flute is all hand painted and hand carved with leaves and textures of gentle autumn colors by Salem artist and flutemaker John Eley. There are 44 beautiful leaves that are hand carved into the body of the flute then hand painted in soft autumn hues. The raised fingerholes make it a bit easier to find your fingering and the mouthpiece is a comfortable size even for beginner players. The leaf totem is also handcarved from mahogany and hickory and triple tied to keep it from traveling.
The sound is as sweet as they come with that classic cedar sound. Soft, light and singing but also with a richness and lots of color in the bottom notes. The playability is responsive and sure to the fingers. This is an easy going flute that responds well to fast passages or soft and slow passages of music. I've loved getting to know what this flute can do and would love to see it go to a great home where it can be enjoyed for many years. Comes with a flute bag and is signed by the artist.
