These were the words I heard when I named this song. Their meaning expresses the solid spiritual ground that music has provided me throughout my life - a ground where I meet my ancestors.

I grew up in a world that doesn't necessarily buy into the ideas of spirit guides and ancestors. These things have been replaced by work life, school, prescribed religions, social life and the endless pursuit of acquisition to fit in. But as a kid, I knew differently. I knew then that life was so much more than what we see on the surface. This song is a return to that way of being that embraces the magic and wholehearted spirit of being human. It's my hope that we can all feel this at some point so we can know who we truly are.
