ABOUT
Pamela Mortensen is a composer and performer who plays didgeridoo, keyboard, Native American flute and more. She is inspired by the forests and mountains of the Pacific Northwest where she resides. She welcomes you to her world and encourages you to explore the beautiful music she makes.
We have entered into an age of AI generated music “made” by AI generated artists. 100% of the music, artwork, photos and writing on this site is human made. You see, I believe music and art are more than just a commodity or product. It is medicine. Think of when you listen to music how it makes you feel in your body, mind and soul. How it feels to your nervous system. This is the medicine of music and it’s what moves us to smile, feel good and create beautiful things in this world. I believe only humans can do that at least for the moment. So I invite you to explore the music here. There is much more coming soon!
Thank you!!

NATIVE AMERICAN FLUTES BY JOHN ELEY
I just acquired several Native American Style flutes made by my good friend John Eley. John is an artist and flute maker originally from England who lives in Oregon. He has been making flutes since 2001 and is the owner of Medicine Wheel Flutes and Arts. He got into flute making when his wife, Maggie, took him to a cultural diversity event where he met his future flute making teacher Quiet Bear. He is also a life long wood carver making all kinds of toys including prize winning rocking horses and is a member of the Rocking Horse Makers Guild of York, England. John will be retiring from flute making in June of 2022 and I am helping sell his remaining stock. Every flute is a one of a kind piece of art in addition to being a musical instrument. Below are some of his works that are available.

Come join us for a day of sonic immersion with musician and sonic alchemist and facilitator Pamela Mortensen as we celebrate, cultivate and nurture a more centered space using sound, rhythm, voice, breath and movement. Cultivating a deeper relationship with sound and how it can keep us centered while I we deal with the daily demands of life.
Sound Immersion Workshop – 1-3pm We begin the day with a workshop where we’ll explore setting intention through sound using musical instruments, breath, voice, body, movement and rhythm to build a personal practice to set a intentional centered space from which we can function in daily life. We will also explore how you can carry this intention through your day as it unfolds so you can stay centered while dealing with the demands of everyday life. We will also look at the more practical aspects of choosing the right instruments for the type of space we are intending to set. Be prepared to play, create and explore.
Sit down Potluck – 4pm Bring an organic dish to share with others. Also you may want to bring any personal snacks. There will be plenty of delicious well water, coffee or tea from the property available but if you want something different to drink, please bring it with you.
